Few shooters will deny that taking production stills is the cushiest job there is. Aside from tantrum-prone directors (which I’ve never had to deal with), shooting on set is awesome. Someone
handles make up, someone else light, and they rehearse scenes over and
over. Opportunities for the best shots are abundant. A production is as much a story as the film itself, with characters and plot twists: Any DVD “making of” feature will tell you that.
